how to measure your wall

To bring your chosen design to life, we need just two simple measurements:

1. Wall width: Measure the width of your wall at its widest point.
2. Wall height: Measure the height of your wall at its tallest point.

Only measure the area to be covered by the wallpaper or mural. Exclude any edging boards, coving, or trim.
Use a tape measure to get accurate numbers. Write down your measurements with a pen. It's that easy!

By taking these two simple measurements, you'll be able to provide us with the information we need to produce your custom wallpaper or mural.

standard wall

To create your wallpaper, we'll need some essential measurements from you. First of all the width of your wall at its widest point and then the height of your wall at its tallest point.

When measuring, only consider the area that will be covered by the wallpaper or mural. Exclude any edging boards, coving. Simply grab a tape measure (make sure to keep the tape measure level), the just jot down the numbers, and you're done!

multiple walls

If your wallpaper or mural design spans across multiple adjacent walls, simply treat it as a single wall. To do this, add up the widths of each wall and enter the total width as the width of a single wall when placing your order

walls with obstacles

Ignore any obstacles such as doors, windows or switches and measure the full width and height of the wall. The area for the obstacle will be cut out during installation but think about where these obstacles will be when choosing your design.

sloped walls

When dealing with a sloped wall, don't worry about the slope. Simply measure the wall as if it were a full rectangle. We'll provide your custom design (mural or wallpaper) as a rectangular shape, and during installation, the sloped section will be carefully cut away to fit perfectly. This ensures a seamless and professional finish.

staircase walls

Every staircase is unique, but when measuring for a wall mural along stairs, there's a simple approach to follow. Don't measure the actual wall area; instead, use the following guidelines:

how to Measure
the height

From the highest point

(top of the stairs, at the ceiling)

to the lowest point

(bottom of the stairs, at the floor)

how to Measure the width

Measure the horizontal depth of the stairs, add the measurements together  to find the total width
(Note: This is not the same as the diagonal length of the stairs.)

NOTE: Ensure your measurements form a rectangular shape. Keep in mind that excess material will be trimmed during installation, particularly when working with wall murals on staircases. Consider this when selecting your design to achieve the best fit
